The place is really a natural heaven, you get to see 4 types of monkeys literally on your way to your room, and all super close! The lake is great for swimming, everywhere there's nice even grass, which is great for a morning yoga or stretch. Food's good, amazing tilapia!! And overall Fort Portal is a magical place.

Great place for overlooking a crater lake while camping! As wel for spotting different types of wild monkeys. The staff was friendly and flexible with dieet restrictions. With little adjustments in the menu they were able to take dieet restrictions, like vegan and fodmap, into account.

Lovely, serene , beautiful and scenic place. Best option to consider if you are looking for a romantic get away. And for the introverts....it is gold... The lake, the nature walks, the trees, the little monkeys, breath taking.

Very nice location and great community project 👍 The location is extraordinary beautiful, especially if you like monkeys and birds and swimming in the lake! The staff is great and very kind! You can also start various tours from there, like the chimpanzee tracking in Kebale forest, which they can organize for you without any extra costs! SUPER value for the price!

Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights for our chimp trekking experience ! Nice property, clean and basic rooms, good food. The property is bit away from the main road, which makes it essential to have a personal vehicle, to reach the chimp centre. The property has a beautiful lake and natural grounds, where we spotted several species of birds and primates and even a mongoose ! Great for birding ! Make sure you head down to the lakeside to enjoy a dip in the cool waters or to relax on the banks ! Their service in the restaurant is good, polite staff make it warm and hospitable, within a decent budget. Julius the owner was approachable and interacted with us.
