  Beautiful lodge with breathtaking views of great East Africa rift valley. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and very helpful. All rooms are powered with solar and electricity for light and heating water. All rooms have view of the park and beyond. We recommend this lodge for small families and groups and solo travellers too

  Beautiful Lodge with Breathtaking Views Beautiful lodge with breathtaking views of the great East African rift valley, with the Queen Elizabeth National Park and Rwenzori mountain ranges. The team and everyone here was very helpful. The dinner was superb, very inviting right from the moment you walk in restaurant which is located near the main entrance view of the lodge. The restaurant in not too big making it possible to get personal and friendly service from the team. I can't stop here without mentioning about the rooms. I stayed at the Buffalo room, if I'm not mistaken, this is the best of the 6 rooms on offer. Why? 1. Breathtaking views of the rift valley, part of lake Edward and views of Rwenzori mountain ranges. On a clear day, I was told you can view the snow at Margherita peak (5,000 m) above sea level. There are safari chairs on every balcony so could relax and spend day, or evening with chances of seeing Elephant and other wild animals fighting with local farms for food. My guide (Balinda) explained to me how farmers spend nights and days guarding their farm from Elephants invading crops - from planting til harvest season My room has a LARGE bathroom fitted with shower and bathtab, connected with warm and cold shower. The bed was large and comfortable for a good night sleep after long day of travel. The only bad side was the curtain in my window not being dark enough to prevent some light to my room. Visitors staying at the Rift Valley Game lodge can take part in a number of local activities such as guided community walk, visit Kataara Women Group - a local women group supporting their empowerment through making crafts which are sold in the different lodges. Income generated in used to support their families and take children to school. Other activities and recommended according to Balinda is crater lakes tours - this area is dotted with a number of crater lakes, 3 hour coffee tour with a local farmer. The guide advise a min of 3 nights stay, to experience the park and it's sorounding.

  Relaxing on the balcony while watching the sunset and herds of elephants walking in the distant open plain grasslands of Queen Elizabeth national park was amazing. The reflection of the sunset on the distant lakes made it very scenic.The tea I was having as I watched all this was amazing too.Thank you staff of rift valley game lodge.

  Amazing service and people, beautiful view.. Just too awesome. Oh and the food is fantastic.
